MS1 5K

Ariana, First Year Medical StudentOriginally composed on Friday, November 4:

“it’s the weekend suckaaaaa!”

That’s what us med students feel on friday at noon of test week.
Pure. Bliss.

One of my classmates said that joy he experienced from finishing finals was greater than the birth of a baby. I probably wouldn’t go as far as that but man, it’s definitely a feeling that nears delirium.

5 weeks of staring at pdfs after pdfs of lecture notes. 5 weeks of shuffling thru stacks of flashcards. 5 weeks of pouring cup after cup of coffee. 5 weeks of eating frozen vegetables and instant soup. Yes med school is a marathon, but I think its more like 5k “sprints”. You run as hard and as fast as you can, stop for a sec to breathe, and then keep on chugging.

But now it’s over!!!

Until monday…

About Ariana

I'm a first year med student at Loma Linda University in southern California. I love the beach, snowboarding, traveling, chasing food trucks, and playing cello, just to name a few. My philosophy is that if you want something badly enough, you can and will get it (possibly with a few bumps and bruises along the way).
